Niclette Kibibi – Eastern Mennonite University - 2010
"Never would I forget the day that I received an acceptance letter from the Stephen Phillips Scholarship. By agreeing to fund my education, you restored more than hope for me: you strengthened my commitment to help others. You showed me how life-changing a helping hand, whether big or small, could be for those desperately in need. You equally challenged me to open my eyes to all types of poverty—spiritual, financial, moral and emotional—and to begin to act now rather than waiting for the future."
